We have been working with our family farm’s “neighbor,” Bernardino, for quite a few seasons now. His village of Santa Cruz, Ozolotepec, is just a stone’s throw from our farm and he grows his coffee on communal land, hence the name Ozolotepec.

When our family first approached him a few years ago, he was skeptical about our intentions. We assured him that we needed more coffee from Oaxaca, and that we wanted to pay a better price and buy as much as he could produce for us. We delivered on our word. This year we needed even more coffee from Bernardino, and so he teamed up with the community and they came through! Bernardino and his coffee have become a staple in our coffee line up, showcasing a wonderful representation of Oaxacan coffee, and we are proud to carry it again this year.
